Its been a while...

Sorry things have been nuts around here since I had surgery!! Well I am 2 and half weeks out and I am doing great!! I feel really good now! The first couple of days were pretty rough from all of the gas they pump in during the surgery but once all of that passed, it has been ten times better!! I really don't have much restriction with the band, so I will need a fill when I go back to see the Dr at the end of Jan! I am losing weight though! I am back to regular food, well kind of. I am on an all protein diet. I can eat soft proteins like eggs, lunch meat, beans, cheese and canned chicken! I can have some other things too, but I am pretty picky so I am sticking with the things I like!! I have another meeting this week so I will be able to add some things back in to my diet! It is kind of like being a baby again and I am slowly adding new things. So far I have lost 25.5 lbs from my highest and I lost 6 lbs before surgery and another 11 lbs up til a week ago! I am not sure how much since then, but I am sure a couple more pounds! The best part of all of it is seeing my clothes getting bigger and being able to fit into old clothes that haven't been worn in a LONGGG time! Other than all of that fun stuff. It has been crazy here because of the holiday's and my sister coming into town! Plus we have had party after party and other fun things! I will post some pictures later since I have not put them on my computer yet. Yesterday we had family pictures taken with my mom, dad, sister, me and my family, and my sister boyfriend Tim who is also in town! It was a great day to take pictures. We took them at the UCR Botanical Garden and I can't wait to see them! The photographer is the brother of a friend of mine and he is awesome! I will put some of those up once we get them too! I am just soo excited to finally get some pictures up in our house of all of us! So I know it has been a while and this is a big old update, but hopefully now that things are going to calm down I can post on here more!! Be sure to check back in a couple of days to see the new pictures I will put up!!

Tomorrow is the big day!!

I just wish it would hurry up! LOL I am STARVING!!! These shakes suck and it sucks even more that by Saturday I will be back to drinking them!! YUCK!!! Anyway surgery is tomorrow morning at 10 am and I am starting to get anxious and nervous! I think it is more the heart stuff that has my brain going crazy with what if's, but I am really trying to be as positive as I can! Everything is going to go great, and tomorrow will be the start to my new and freeing life! I plan on taking some before pictures tonight or in the morning to put on my fridge as inspiration to never be this size again and also to look back in a couple months or years and see how far I have come! These last two weeks have been pretty tough and I am sure I have many more in front of me, but I CAN do this and I WILL!! I have to, it is my only option and having surgery is sooo not the easy way!! I can say that I have been on my treadmill for 30 minutes at least 5 days a week during the last 2 weeks so that is much better than what I was doing before which was nothing! So besides all of that it has still been a busy month! We had Noah's b-day party on Sunday and he loved every minute of it and then a week from this coming Saturday Auntie Lala will be here and the Christmas shopping will be in full swing! I can't wait to send some time with her, we miss her soo much! It has been almost a year since we saw her last! Then come Christmas which is always fun, then after that it will be back to the same old stuff and a bunch of baby showers and babies in the first 3 months of the year!! Lots and lots to look forward too! I can't wait! Now off to my last shake and 30 minutes on the treadmill til after surgery!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Noah!

So Monday was Noah 2nd birthday! I can't even believe that it has been 2 years since I had him! Its nuts how time flies! We decided we would spend the day at Disneyland to celebrate! Bailee and I had doctors appointments that morning so we got there around 1:30 and stayed til the park closed at 8! It was a long day and the park was super busy but we had a great time! And for being as busy as it was we only waited 5 to 10 minutes on each ride and the longest was 30 minutes for Nemo! We all had not been on it since they remodeled it, and we all loved it! After that we went on a bunch more rides and had dinner then did It's a Small World and then decided that was enough for the day! Noah seemed to have a great day and I think he got that it was a special day for him! When we were on our way out we got the kids Mickey Christmas Hats that are super cute and they love! I think this will be the last time we hit up Disneyland this year since our passes are blocked out starting on the 19th til the 4th of Jan. I just LOVE all of the Christmas decorations! We can't wait to renew our passes and have another great year at Disneyland and California Adventure!

Besides all of that, My surgery is a week from tomorrow and I still can't believe this is actually going to happen! I have been on my protein shakes for almost a week now, and I was hoping to say I haven't cheated but I have! I know, I am a bad girl, but today is the day that all of that will change! I have had 2 bottles of water, plus 2 protein shakes and one more to go! Thank goodness a couple of the flavors actually taste good! I have also been working out every day for 30 minutes on my treadmill, minus the day at Disney! I walked a ton so I figured that was good for that day! I am really trying to make sure that this works, yes the not eating has been really hard and everything looks so good that I did give in, but I am hoping I can get a hold of my will power today so I don't give in again! I hope this next 8 days goes fast so this new life really has to start!!

Thanksgiving and T-Ball!

Well next Thursday is Thanksgiving, I can't believe how fast it got here! The even better part is that in one month my sister will be home for Christmas!! Finally after a year she will be home!! We are all really happy for that. So back to Thanksgiving, it is going to be at our house this year!! AAAHHHH! LOL No I am super excited to have everyone here to celebrate the holiday. I am not cooking all of the food, I am sooo not ready for that yet, maybe next year. Everyone is bringing a dish or two and I am doing a couple myself as well as getting the decorations. I am wanting to make a big deal about it this year since I have to start my protein shakes the next day. It is going to be "My Last Meal" without the band! I can't wait to have surgery, but what a day to be done with food. HAHA We are also going to the Annual Aiau Day before Thanksgiving party, and are super excited to hang out with our friends! It has been a while since we have seen everyone because we are all so crazy busy this time of year. It is going to be a great couple hours hanging out and enjoying the kiddos and food of course!! I can't wait for next week!
The other cool thing that we are doing is signing Bailee up for T-Ball!! I have been wanting to get Bailee into something active for a long time, but everything was soo expensive and sign ups were always when we had were broke. I got an e-mail from my cousin Kim last night that Spring T-Ball sign ups are going on right now! So this Saturday we are heading to the park and going to sign Bailee up! It is only $40 for the season since we will sign up early! Now that is CHEAP and we love that! Bailee is super excited, I just hope that lasts! I wasn't a huge fan of softball when I played but maybe this is be something she really enjoys! I can't wait to watch her out on the field, it is going to be soo much fun! Hopefully we can get her on Wesley's team, but we will have to see how they do the teams! The season starts in Feb(I think), and goes til May! I am sure I will blog more about that later with some pictures! Make sure to check back!! Well that is enough for today! I hope everyone has an awesome Thanksgiving and remembers that is not the only day to be thankful, we should count our blessing every single day!

Scheduled for Surgery, and other fun stuff!

Well December 11th is the big day!! I am scheduled for 9:30am and I am excited but nervous at the same time! I can't wait to have this done, but even more so, I can't wait to see the new me. I know it is going to take some time to get the weight off but thinking of all of the little milestones has me pretty emotional! The day that I don't have to go to Lane Bryant and buy clothes, the day that I fit more comfortably in a ride at Disneyland, losing the first 25 lbs and then the first 50! These are the days I am looking forward too, it is going to be a struggle I am sure, but hopefully the outcome out weights those bad or rough days!! Well besides all of that we have some other fun things going on!! I have to start my protein shakes the day after Thanksgiving so I am looking at that as my final meal! And this year Thanksgiving is going to be at our house! I have not done Thanksgiving here yet and I am super excited. My family is all pitching in and bringing stuff so I am not doing it all, but I can't wait to cook and get ready for the holiday with our family. Then the weekend after that we are doing Noah's 2nd Birthday party and my cousin's 18th birthday party! Then surgery, then Auntie Lala is coming, THEN Christmas!! WOO HOO! I love Christmas and I can't wait to see my kids faces again this year. It will be even better since Noah is more aware of what is going on and I think this year he is really going to love opening presents and the holiday in general!! SO we are going to be pretty busy until the first of the year so check back to see all of the fun stuff we are doing!!

Finally... I can have surgery!!!

So you may wonder why I am excited for surgery! Over the last six months I have been on 9 pills a day to help fix my slightly enlarged heart! The doctors found that it was not normal when I had some testing done for my Lap-Band surgery and the whole process was put on hold! I am beyond thankful that this condition was found, but devestated because the new life I wanted sooo bad was not going to be an option! So over the last 6 months there has been many tears of sadness and what if's but finally yesterday I had tears of HOPE!! After having yet another heart test, I was finally given the news from my Cardiologist that surgery was a go!! WOO HOO! I was soo excited I couldn't stop smiling and practically ran up to the surgeons office to get the process going again!! SO once everything goes through I could be looking at a date in December! I am hopeing for the 11th of December since he only does them on thursdays, and I have to be on protein shakes for 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after! So my last day of food would be thanksgiving and the day that I would be back to eating, an extremely motified diet would be christmas day!! Everyone is telling me to wait until the new year, but since I am doing this to get healthy for the rest of my life, why not start now! I have to learn, and the Holidays are when we all eat too much, so it is the best time in my eyes!! So FINALLY, I get my chance and I am soo excited! I see my surgeon next tuesday so I will update more then! Thanks for the support!!

Tomorrow....

So I am kind of anxious for tomorrow! I have my 6 month Stress-Echo and I am going to hope and pray all night long that everything is going to be fine!! I still can't believe it has been 6 months of drama with all of this heart stuff, and hopefully tomorrow will be the day that I finally get the ok for surgery!! I want this surgery so bad, yet it is soo scary and I have had so many sleepless night worried about the "what if's" when it comes to my heart and the future! So tomorrow afternoon I will be running on a treadmil and my cardiologist will be with me and she will give me the results after the test is over! I just want this to be the start of the end! The end of the weight, the end of the heart drama and heartache, and the start to the new life that I really want and need!! So if everyone can, please ask the big man up stairs to help me out tomorrow!! Thanks!!

Pumpkin Patch!!

Yesterday we went to the BEST Pumpkin Patch I have ever been to in my life!! It is the Live Oak Canyon Pumpkin Patch! It had 12 acres of pumpkins you could pick from, already picked pumpkins to buy, games, slides, a bungy jump thing, food, picnic areas and on and on!! It was soo cute and had soo many places to take great pictures!! The kids had a great time, the only thing was the tickets for the rides and games were kind of pricy, but that is normal these days! We had sooo much fun! It was our family, my mom, and our cousin's the Magdaleno's! If you want a great place for some family fun for the holiday's this is it!! It is a bit of a drive for people coming from far away but SOOOO worth every mile and drop of gas!!! This is going to be a new tradition for our family! I am soo glad the Magdaleno's took us with them!! Here are some pictures and a cute video of Noah on the bungy jump, he is such a dare devil!! We can't wait to go back at Christmas time to see Santa and look at the awesome trees!!

I'm a Happy Mom!

Ever since school started I have been going crazy trying to make sure that Bailee will be ready for kindergarten next year. The teacher she got at her Preschool just didn't seem to be doing enough, or what I thought was enough! I know that she has only been back to school for 4 weeks but that is a long time when they have soo much to do! Its not that I didn't like the teacher, it was just when I asked her things about the class in the beginning she didn't really give me or the other parents a great explanation! I was a bit concerned but thought that I would see how she did for a while before I made a fuss! So I was finally ready to call the schools director, and then last Monday I got a letter home that Bailee's teacher was moving into another class as the "Helper"! So I guess I wasn't the only one that saw the problem and was glad that other parents said something or the school just figured it out, or maybe even the teacher decided that she wasn't ready! So on Wednesday Bailee got a new teacher! I had seen her around last year and Bailee remembered her so it made the transition easy. Well this week, it is a whole new classroom and I am SOOO HAPPY!! She is a great teacher and is doing great with keeping us crazy parents informed and seems to just love our kids! Yesterday we got a newsletter home from the teacher explaining all of the things she has planned for the month as well as what the parents need to do to help and a calendar that shows the daily activities!! I am soo glad that I waited and things were taken care of without me having to make a huge fuss and looking like a crazy mommy! I now know that Bailee is going to be very well taken care of and will be more than ready for next year!! And to top it all off tomorrow is PICTURE DAY! Last years pictures weren't great so I hope they are better this year!!

Time is flying by!!!

It has been a while since my last blog and we have been crazy busy!! Every weekend in September had something going on! Things have finally calmed down thank goodness! September was a fun yet hard month, but now we are into October and can't wait for all that we get to do this month! More and more parties, birthdays, and most of all HALLOWEEN!! I can't wait, I love watching my kids get so excited to dress up and get candy!! I am not sure what we are going to do this year yet. We have soo many options. We can head to orange county with our family, we can go back to The Grove Church (Bailee's Preschool) for trunk for treat with her friends, or hang out with all of our friends and their kids!! I am sure whatever we do it will be fun! We just can't wait to do all of the fun stuff we have planned!

Besides all that we have to do this month, the stuff we did last month is in our memories forever! Of course I took a bunch of pictures and want to share a few!! One of my favorites is of my babies and my mom and the other one is of all the kids under 5 on my Mom's side of our family! Poor Bailee is the only girl!

This is a picture from Pump It Up in San Diego for Dylan's 5th Birthday! The kids had soo much fun! And here is the cake that I made for Landon's 2nd Birthday Party! It was tough and turned out ok!!

Here is Uncle Chris and I holding Maile!! We just love her! She is just too freaking cute!
We had a great month and can only wait for this month for more fun and pictures!! Stay tuned!!
